Using Torch on Membrane on Flat Roofs and Decks
The Flat Deck waterproofing was performed utilizing the heat fusion torch on membrane process. The area was first cleaned properly, then coated with a primer, the torch on laps and seams were sealed with liquid plastic and finally we applied a Bituminous Silver Aluminium paint for longevity and UV Protection against the sun. This process allows the sun to be reflected from the mat to protect the Torch-On membrane. The majority of flat roofs and concrete decks in residential or industrial sites in South Africa are
concrete roofs. Waterproofing concrete with roof coatings is an important task on concrete structures for roof repair and preservation. Concrete roofs require a great deal of maintenance to keep them from leaking since they shift, move, and dissolve easily.
Waterproofing of Flat deck area
Scope of work:
- Apply 4mm heat fused torch on to Flat Deck area.
- Coat all torch on laps and seams with liquid plastic.
- Apply Bituminous Silver Aluminium Paint to all torch on areas for UV Protection.
